I’ve created a yahoo group for Etsy For Animals (“EFA”). If you are an EFA member, you are welcomed to join the group. If you are not an EFA member, but would like to become one, attempt to join the group and your request will be sent to the EFA curator, mvegan5.

I have offered to help the street team Etsy for Animals by administering the etsyforanimals store. Currently, it is not yet set up as a store but it soon will. For now, many of the EFA members are listed as favorite sellers.

Tantalized with Tunisian

Tunisian Oh So Mauve SetHere is a similar bag as the custom one I just posted. The hat and flower was inspired by the purse – the brim of the hat is Tunisian! This one is made with a mohair blend yarn that I love. Too bad I can’t get anymore of it. It has a nice feel, nice thickness, and great color. I call it the Oh So Mauve Set.

First Custom Order

Red Accent Tulucia Machika ClocheFirst Custom PurseThis was my first custom order and I enjoyed the design process. The very nice customer had size (approximate size of purse and handle length) and color (to match the Red Accent Tulucia Machika Cloche she purchased) specifications, which I designed around. I had just purchased small d rings and clips when I went to Japan in May and I was so happy when it worked with the project so nicely. I crocheted the purse in Tunisian. I like the design so much that I created another similar one, which I will post up soon.

Crafted With Love

Posted under Charities,Sales by admin on Monday 23 July 2007 at 7:32 am

Crafted with Love is an organization that solicits donations of original handmade items, which they sell. The proceeds are donated to certain no-kill shelters. They currently specialize in jewelry but they accept any artform. As soon as I can find something to suit the gallery, I will donate my crochet! Its a great way to promote your art while helping out animals in need.

In Bloom Ribbon ClocheI made this matching ribbon cloche right after I finished putting together obaasama’s ribbon vest but I just never posted it. I’ll be posting a pattern for it soon (I hope). I just sold it in my etsy store (I originally designed the In Bloom Flower for this hat.)

Blacky Needs HomeBrowny Needs HomeThe puppies are growing and gaining spasmatic energy by the minute. They just need a home in Saipan! Just look how cute they are!

Browny When FoundLook at this ‘before’ picture. Their health has improved so much with the help of proper nutrition, medical attention, and antibiotics. So far, $5.55 has been raised to pay the veterinary bill. Please help by donating or buying crocheted items at my etsy store. 100% of all donations and 15% of all sales of crocheted items will go toward their bill.

My First Sale on Etsy!

Posted under Charities,Crochet,DIY,Sales by admin on Tuesday 26 June 2007 at 9:17 am

I checked my email Monday morning, Saipan time, and found an email indicating that I sold Grammy’s Rosy Cloche and a matching brooch on etsy. I was so excited that I couldn’t think. It feels great to know that someone will enjoy an item that I have personally made. It also feels great to know that the puppies are just that much closer to getting their veterinarian bill paid. Browny’s fur is growing in great and the both of them are eating like wolves. Pretty soon they will be ready to go home to a lovely family and enjoy new found happiness.
