Donation to Guma Esperanza

Guma Esperanza OutfitLast year, around October, I donated this baby outfit to Guma Esperanza, a shelter for battered women in Saipan, an island in the Marianas. It is made out of white flecked 100% cotton yarn and is embellished with dark blue mohair yarn. The hat and the bodice of the dress is made with the crochet technique while the skirt is made using Tunisian crochet. I made the dress lengthy so that the baby could be bundled in by pulling the cord on the bottom. Its hot here in Saipan, so cotton was my best bet. This is my own pattern but I never wrote it down and unfortunately my camera was acting up so the picture is not too great (the hat and dress are the same color). Perhaps I can try to recreate it and write the pattern down. Until then, I hope the mother finds happiness in this one of a kind baby set.
